This essay, the final one in our series on the mind, suggests that our cognitive processes lack strict linearity. Instead of moving straightforwardly from problem to solution, our minds may meander, oscillating between progress and regression. Nevertheless, once we empower an “Afrikan” mind to tackle an issue, it persists tirelessly in pursuit of resolution. Our earlier discussions highlighted the connection between our cognitive functions and economic dynamics (“The Mind and Economics”), while the second essay examined the implications of AI supplanting human intellect (“The Human Mind and AI”). This installment shifts focus, given the unresolved challenges faced by Black Americans, to explore the essential relationship between "The Brain and Economics." With the brain acting as the engine of the mind, understanding its intricacies—particularly in relation to economic success—becomes paramount.
