At Glen Oaks Intermediate, fifth-grader Israel Jones aspires to become an engineer, now inspired to consider a lineman position after a recent visit from Shane Seeley, Lead Lineman at Alabama Power, who read “Lineman Joe” by Mario Dealba. This partnership with Better Basics aims to educate students about electrical safety. Jones appreciated learning about the lineman's vital role in community safety. Seeley emphasized the importance of engaging with customers and shared insights, including a detailed look at a bucket truck.
