Two exceptional artists emerged as champions at the National Secondary Schools Calypso and Soca Competition, which occurred on Friday at Mindoo Phillip Park, signaling the beginning of the Lucian Junior Carnival. Alex Pinel from Castries Comprehensive Secondary School earned the calypso title with her moving performance of "School Girl." Ti Kenno from Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School captured second place with "Stand for Something," leaving a lasting impression on judges and the audience. Queen M-Sul from Corinth Secondary School clinched third with her rendition of "This Generation," while Monee from Babonneau Secondary School placed fourth with "Combating Climate Change." In the soca category, Lady J mesmerized spectators with her energetic "Free Up Friday," securing her title, while Kaley from Corinth and Chloe from Patricia D James Secondary School followed in second and third place, respectively.
