Following a bustling summer marked by co-host Shannon Sharpe's exit, Skip Bayless officially departed from FS1’s “Undisputed” on August 2, 2024. Nevertheless, discussions surrounding Bayless continue on the airwaves. The seasoned broadcaster, now 73, is set to make a comeback with an innovative football show crafted by Underdog, the same production company behind the popular program “Gil’s Arena,” hosted by former NBA star Gilbert Arenas. Introducing “The Arena: Gridiron,” a fresh football series featuring Bayless, Talib, Gruden, and Arenas, set to premiere next week on YouTube. In a conversation with The Athletic, Bayless expressed his enthusiasm about the project, asserting, “I’m not exaggerating to you. I’m telling you, the God’s truth, I’m more on fire for this than I have ever been.” The show promises to include notable appearances from six-time Pro Bowler Gerald McCoy and ex-quarterback Cody Kessler.
