Arnicka Strikes Against Lewis & Clark

The Indian Hills Women’s Soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals to outlast visiting Lewis & Clark Community College this weekend at the IHCC Soccer Complex. The Warriors improved to 11-5-0 on the year, with Saint Lucian starlet Arnicka Louis very much in the mix. Indian Hills saw goals from Louis (Castries, Saint Lucia/Sir Ira Simmons) and Rheala Herrera (Aztec, NM/Aztec) in the span of four minutes in the opening half before the Trailblazers struck back before the halftime intermission. The Warrior defense clamped down in the second half as Indian Hills picked up its second all-time win over the Trailblazers. Indian Hills opened up the scoring at the 20:24 mark as Maika Nchana (Barcelona, Spain / INS Torras I Bages) eluded the Trailblazer defense to find Louis streaking towards the net. Louis buried the close-range strike for her team-leading 11th goal of the year. The Marchand native also leads the team with nine assists, despite starting only 12 games.
