Artist proud of Greenwood pupils who took responsibility for anti-social actions

After the incident, the students joined Tragic to work on a restorative youth work project, painting a mural at the centre. The artist said: “Thanks to the Irvine Locality Partnership and the Irvine Locality Team, I have been able to deliver six sessions with local young people over the last few weeks. “It has been amazing working with this talented group who really want to turn things around.” Tragic said: “I remember all too well as a teen how having a lack of things to do could get me into trouble, but it’s amazing to see that the lads are all taking responsibility for their actions and putting their energy and focus into something positive. “The Cyber Explorers mural is their way of giving back to the community and re-gaining the trust and respect of the many community groups operating at Towerlands so that everyone can move forward together. “So far, we’ve collaborated to map out a design with key elements celebrating groups like the knitting club, Irvine Pipe Band and the dachshund group that all operate out of this important community hub.” The artist added: “Graffiti has always been a revolutionary movement often for the disenfranchised. “This project is...
