Unfortunately, on July 30, 2024, both their lives came to a devastating end, leading to criminal charges against seven law enforcement officers from West Palm Beach involved in a disastrous vehicle pursuit.The events began on June 4, when officers initiated a high-speed chase after 23-year-old Neoni Copeland eluded capture. This pursuit ended violently in Boynton Beach, claiming the lives of 57-year-old Marcia and her 27-year-old daughter, Jenice Woods, who was two months pregnant at that time.Charges have been brought against three officers—Austin Danielovich, Pierre Etienne, and Christopher Rekdahl—while four others—Michael Borgen, William Loayza, Brandan Stedfelt, and Darien Thomas—face accusations of official misconduct. “This represents a significant breach of public trust,” remarked State Attorney Alexcia Cox.
