Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory is set to be released from prison. According to The Detroit News, the Black Mafia Family co-founder could be walking free in 2025. The hustler was initially set to serve out a 30-year sentence, which he was handed back in 2008. The publication explained that Brittany K. Barnett, Flenory’s attorney, initially had 32 months chopped off of his sentence. After being found guilty of large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering, Barnett emphasized his client’s dedication to rehabilitating and readjusting to society. Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. also shared the news in his Instagram Story. He reposted a post acknowledging how excited he must’ve been knowing his father was coming home from prison early. Big Meech and his brother Terry Lee “Southwest Tee” Flenory founded BMF as a creative agency and Hip-Hop label in 1985. However, in the 2000s, federal agents deduced that the company was a mere front for a complex money laundering scheme.
