BIPOC media partners host TriCaucus Legislative Town Hall to discuss community issues

On September 13, the Ethnic Media Collaboration, a nonpartisan partnership of BIPOC media, including The Atlanta Voice, Georgia Asian Times, and MundoNOW, organized a significant event at The Atlanta Voice office. This event, known as the TriCaucus Legislative Town Hall, was attended by Rep. Michelle Au, Rep. Saira Draper and Sen. Nikki Merritt, who respectively serve as Chairpersons of the African Americans, Latinos, and AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islanders) Georgia Legislative Caucus.
The purpose of the TriCaucus Legislative Town Hall was to provide a platform for each Legislative Caucus Chairperson to share their perspectives on legislation and their work at the State Capitol, specifically focusing on the impact on their respective communities in Georgia. This inclusive event also allowed each Caucus to address community issues, challenges, and opportunities in Georgia, fostering meaningful dialogue and understanding of the diverse needs and concerns within the state.
