An Ohio man has been charged with multiple offenses after allegedly attacking staff and shoppers at a Goodwill store shortly after hurling a racist remark at a Black employee. Anthony Ball, 21, was arrested without bond and faces charges of felonious assault, misdemeanor criminal damaging, and disorderly conduct following a violent incident in Elyria, Ohio, on September 15. Ball was reportedly shopping with his mother when he became aggressive with cashier Sandra Ross after she offered to wrap his mother’s purchase of shot glasses. Ross recounted that Ball insulted her, prompting her to call for a supervisor to handle the transaction. However, Ball’s aggression escalated, leading to him striking a supervisor with a skillet and causing injury.Witnesses described how Ball wreaked havoc in the store, even toppling clothing racks. After fearing for her safety, Ross locked herself in a dressing room and called 911. Community members, including Earl Kehle, assisted in restraining Ball until police arrived and took him into custody. (Photo: Lorain County Jail)
