On Saturday, May 11, at 3 PM, the Emerging Pearls Foundation is hosting its ‘Honor Her’ fundraiser in Indianapolis. The event will raise funds for scholarships and community programs and give attendees a place to celebrate the incredible women in their lives during Mother’s Day weekend.Funds from the event support mentoring programs for young ladies from 6-8 grade and supply families who live in Indianapolis food deserts with resources like childhood hunger packs.In addition to announcing the 2024 Honor Her nominees, an award will be presented to an unsung hero in Greater Indianapolis. Here are the 2024 Honor Her Nominees:· Tenise Cornelius, President, National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Indianapolis Chapter· Juaneka Thomas, Owner, Charity Childcare· Takisha Franklin, Owner, Ms. Franklin Candle Co.· Vashni Perri, Owner, G.i.r.l-fidence ExperienceThe event will include a family style meal, mimosa hour, live entertainment from Toy Factory and a free Digital Mother’s Day Photo, according to a press release from Emerging Pearls.
