Both Dems and GOP campaigns have events in Savannah today

Former United States President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Savannah this afternoon. The focus of the rally, which is scheduled to take place in the Johnny Mercer Theatre downtown at the Savannah Civic Center, will be on manufacturing and on tax code. Anne Allen Westbrook, and Callie Beale Harper, a reproductive rights advocate. The press conference will pick up where United States Vice President Kamala Harris left off during her most recent rally in Cobb County last Friday. Georgia’s “Heartbeat Bill”, abortion, and the lack of OBGYNs in rural counties were topics of that rally. Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz visited Savannah on August 28.
