A member of the British Royal Family has allegedly named a pair of black sheep after renowned tennis champions Venus and Serena Williams. In a recent episode of the "Tell Me About Your Father" podcast, Aatish Taseer, who is known to have dated Lady Gabriella of Windsor in the early 2000s, discussed Lady Gabriella’s mother, Princess Michael of Kent, and her unusual pets—sheep named Venus and Serena. Princess Michael, spouse of Prince Michael of Kent and a descendant of King George V, inspires a curious narrative surrounding her actions. Taseer remarked on the unsettling nature of this naming, noting a certain obliviousness to its potential offensiveness. Princess Michael has faced criticism in the past for perceived racial insensitivity, such as wearing a brooch depicting a Black man alongside Meghan Markle in 2017. In a separate incident, she allegedly made a racially-charged remark to Black diners in New York City, prompting her to express distress over accusations of racism.
