The Athletic announced on Saturday that women’s basketball phenom Caitlin Clark will not be competing for the United States at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The Stars and Stripes have selected a roster that includes a number of well-known players, including A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, Alyssa Thomas, Napheesa Collier, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Sabrina Ionescu, Chelsea Gray, and Kahleah Copper, according to Shams Charania, one of the best-researched journalists covering American basketball. The 22-year-old Clark was chosen by the Indiana Fever with the first choice in the WNBA draft and is the all-time top scorer in college basketball history.
