Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will be sidelined for the remaining three games of the 2025 WNBA season due to injury, as confirmed by the team on September 4.The two-time All-Star and 2024 Rookie of the Year has been unavailable since July 15, after aggravating a right groin injury during a match against the Connecticut Sun. During her recovery, she also developed a bone bruise.Expressing her sentiments about missing the season's conclusion, Clark took to social media. “While I hoped for a more positive update, I will not return this season,” Clark posted on X/Twitter. “I appreciate everyone who supported me throughout this uncertainty. This has been immensely frustrating, but I've found joy in the unwavering support from fans who stood by me and the Fever.” Fever’s Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Amber Cox emphasized that Clark’s long-term health takes precedence. “Time is not in our favor. Her overall well-being remains our highest priority,” Cox stated. Clark played 13 games this season, with an average of 16.5 points and 8.8 assists, and is expected to return fully for the 2026 season.
