California Teachers Association Stand-Up Strong For Prop 50

In a pivotal move addressing urgent issues, the California Teachers Association (CTA) has thrown its support behind Proposition 50, an initiative spearheaded by Governor Gavin Newsom aimed at redistricting. The CTA is actively engaging California’s Black voters by initiating a campaign that utilizes several historic Black newspapers throughout the state.Proposition 50 presents an opportunity for voters to reevaluate current legislative boundaries impacting representation, amid a national climate where educational and voting rights are increasingly threatened.
