Cardi B and DJ Khaled Search for ‘Higher Love’ on Desi Trill ‘Smurfs’ Single

DJ Khaled and Cardi B have joined Natania and Subhi for Desi Trill’s Belinda Carlisle-sampling single “Higher Love.” The record, which will appear on the soundtrack to the new Smurfs movie, flips “Heaven Is a Place on Earth” into a multilingual love song. “Think about me, I’m on your mental/Give me a statuе, I’m monumental/Now, if looks could kill, they’d get laid to rеst/You know the body’s a bang-Bangladesh/Like it, my lovin’, say it, you need me/Kiss, mwah, Cardi, habibi,” Cardi raps before handing the song off to Subhi, who adds: “I’ma bring Heaven straight to your doorstep/It’s on Nirvana, baby, come in the door, yeah/I’ma be the only you need/I’ll give you something, boy, for you to believe in.” [embedded content] The Smurfs film is set to premiere on July 18, a slight delay from its original Feb. 14 release date.
