I attended the 50th anniversary of Caymus wine dinner and party at Maggiano’s Little Italy Oct 25th.Terrific evening with incredible food created by Chef Brian Williams, he is charming and engages well with his audience.We started off with blue fish crostini, the fish was flown in that day for the dinner. Great texture and the fresh taste of the sea with each bite.The panzanella salad was a metropolitan magical masterpiece, and I was thrilled with the fried cheese centered on top of the salad.Salad. Credit: Wanda HaynesMy favorite dish was the lobster ravioli featuring succulent claw meat nestled inside of al dente pasta, and a sensuous amount of drawn butter, water cress, and fennel shavings.Pumpkin cheesecake concluded the feast with a fall inspired crust, praline pecans, and a dollop of cinnamon Chantilly cream.The Wagner family wines were part of the meal; Conundrum white and red blend, and the 50th anniversary Caymus cabernet sauvignon 2022.Ravioli.
