Changes in City Operations for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday

City offices, including CityLink 311, the city’s resident customer service center, will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, but non-911 emergency calls will be forwarded to on-call staff with the appropriate department. Garbage and recycling collections will follow the normal schedule the week of Jan 20. All yard-waste collections will be postponed one day, with Thursday’s yard waste collected on Friday, Jan. 24. The Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility, 325 W. Hanes Mill Road, will close at 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan 20. Old Salisbury Road Landfill, and Forum 52 and Overdale Road yard waste facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20.
