On Saturday, over 400 local residents engaged in “Capturing Memories: A Free Brain Health Day” at Insight Hospital in Chicago's Bronzeville area. Hosted by Neurogen Biomarking and co-sponsored by Linus Health and the Global Alzheimer’s Platform Foundation, the event highlighted the critical need for early Alzheimer’s detection, especially among Black Americans, who face double the risk compared to their white counterparts. Attendees enjoyed complimentary brain health services worth over $500, including advanced testing and expert education. Dr. Rany Aburashed emphasized a global commitment to combating Alzheimer's disease. Notable guests, Chicago Bulls guard Jahmir Young and Illinois State Senator Mattie Hunter, advocated for proactive brain health measures, especially during Mother’s Day weekend. In addition to medical offerings, guests received food, flowers, and culturally relevant wellness resources.
