CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions, or simply ‘CICOA,’ announced that it will receive 500 Ring devices to disburse to seniors living in Indiana. The organization will also provide Ring devices to those with disabilities and their caretakers.
CICOA is a nonprofit organization serving Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan and Shelby Counties in Central Indiana. The organization connects older adults and people with disabilities and their caregivers to the assistance they need.
President and CEO of CICOA Tauhric Brown thinks providing seniors with modern tech like Ring devices is great for improving their quality of life.
“Providing these groups with advanced technology helps increase their wellbeing and safety,” Brown said in a statement. “This collaboration between Ring, USAging and CICOA reflects a shared commitment to supporting the independence of vulnerable populations. We’re thrilled to be granted the opportunity to provide a service like this.”
USAging CEO Sandy Markwood echoed the importance of seniors having technology like Ring doorbells and cameras accessible.
“Ring is a technology that addresses critical needs of older adults by adding a layer of safety and allowing older adults to see who is at their door,” Markwood said in a statement.
