For the past 6 weeks, CRC’s award-winning Junior Lifeguard program has provided the building blocks and training for youths 11 to 14 to master the Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification. Over 70 Junior Guards will compete in water and on land to display the skills they have learned and honed over the summer months. Awards for individual, team times, and point totals, celebrate their work as they move closer to receiving a whistle, lanyard, and becoming a CRC Red Cross Certified Lifeguard! In 2024, CRC opened 100% of City pools for the first time since the pandemic. This is possible because of continuous recruitment, training, and& programs like Jr. Lifeguard Academy.
