COCO GAUFF MAKES HISTORY AS YOUNGEST TEAM USA FEMALE FLAG-BEARER

Coco Gauff is set to carry the U.S. flag at the Paris Olympic Opening Ceremony on Friday, making her the youngest American to ever receive this honor. The 20-year-old tennis star will share this prestigious role with LeBron James, who was named the male flag bearer earlier this week.

Gauff will also make history as the first tennis player to serve as a U.S. flag bearer at either an Opening or Closing Ceremony. Fellow teammate and friend, Christopher Eubanks delivered the news of Gauff’s honor during a press conference.
“So obviously, I think most of you guys know, Coco and I have been really close from a really young age. I’ve got to see this girl grow up, so I’m sure she’s very excited to be here at her first Olympics. It’s a pretty special moment,” Eubanks began.
