"Colts Star Braden Smith Takes on Exciting Agricultural Project at Purdue Polytechnic"

On April 11, Purdue Polytechnic High School at Englewood inaugurated an on-campus farm, thanks to the support of Indianapolis Colts lineman Braden Smith and local volunteers. This initiative, funded partly by Smith's $40,000 donation, enhances student nutrition and incorporates agriculture within STEM education. Situated on 2801 Moore Ave, the half-acre farm aims to improve food access while fostering community engagement. Smith remarked on the importance of healthy food access, reflecting his commitment to urban agriculture and student welfare. The farm will provide produce for school meals and internships, enhancing hands-on learning opportunities.
