Art should be supported no matter what form it comes in. Whether it be murals of a figure in history or graffiti to express a social viewpoint, public street art is necessary to city culture.
The meaning of art is meant to tell a story, an interpretation of a more significant message, or just to be a creative expression.
More public and street art should be promoted to add cultural value to Charlotte. It makes public spaces beautiful and creates a sense of community for all of us to engage with.
Any form of public art is essential for observing social commentary in our world as humans.
Some beautiful minds have created a political or environmental message that speaks deeply to our social foundations and is worth discussing through an art piece by an artist who wants to raise awareness of a particular subject.
