Christmas in the Wards (CITW) is steadfastly dedicated to enhancing communities throughout Chicago through targeted assistance. On November 1st, 19th, and 21st, the organization will provide over $15,000 in emergency food aid to families confronting escalating challenges.The generosity continues on Friday, November 21, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kennedy-King College Gymnasium (6301 S. Halsted St.). CITW’s Pre-Thanksgiving Give-Away will feature Mayor Brandon Johnson and comedian Mike Epps, both present to support Chicagoans in need.Sponsorship comes from S2Grills, In His Hands Resource Center, CRAVE, MSA Strategies, Really Leaf, Black Men United (BMU), Illinois Hemp Business Association (IHBA), and City Colleges of Chicago.During this event, turkey giveaways, winter clothing, and 500 hot meals courtesy of S2Grills will be available. Local partners will also provide vital resources to attendees.
