White Man Assaults Black Neighbors, Screams 'White Race Is Ending,' and Attempts to Coerce Witness Into Lying

A Michigan man faces felony hate crime allegations following a violent attack on his Black neighbors, during which he reportedly hurled racial slurs, punched, and spat on them. Martin Sitto, 43, was apprehended in Hazel Park, a Detroit suburb, and charged with a range of offenses, including hate crime using force, obstruction of justice, assault and battery, and trespassing.The incident occurred on June 29, prompting multiple police calls regarding Sitto’s aggressive behavior. Initial police intervention found him violating neighbors' property boundaries. Upon return, officers observed Sitto shouting profanities and using racial slurs. Witnesses described him throwing tree branches and physically assaulting a Black woman, while another neighbor tried to intervene. Despite officers' presence, Sitto resisted arrest and threatened various residents. His history includes multiple prior charges related to violence and substance abuse.
