In honor of National Diaper Need Awareness Week (Sept. 23-29), COVERD Greater Cincinnati (runs the programs Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, Tidal Babe Period Bank, and Fly & Dry Basic Needs Bank) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 24, to unveil their new warehouse space located at 2331 Terhune Alley in Cincinnati. Mayor Aftab Pureval, as well as COVERD’s full staff, many board members, longtime volunteers and supporters and funders, were in attendance. The “leave your mark” mural was revealed during the ribbon cutting as well, highlighting the winning design from a recent contest for local high school art students. COVERD visitors and volunteers will build this mural over time by adding their fingerprints in colored paint to fill three 48×60 inch canvases. From left are Mayor Aftab Pureval and COVERD Greater Cincinnati CEO & Founder Megan Milstead.
