Dallas College marked a historic milestone on May 12, honoring the first graduates of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-B.S.N.) program during a moving pinning ceremony at Eastfield Campus. Launched in summer 2024, the program welcomed 25 associate-degree nurses, many already active in the field, who have now earned their B.S.N. degrees—opening doors to leadership roles and expanded career opportunities. “This ceremony is more than a tradition—it’s a celebration of perseverance and purpose,” said Dr. Chiquesha Davis, program dean. As Texas faces a growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals, these graduates are stepping up not just to serve but to lead. With clinical experience and advanced training, they’re poised to shape the future of health care in Texas and beyond.
