During his appearance on Asante’s podcast, "Say What Needs to Be Said," Deion revealed he was grappling with an “illness” and had lost substantial weight. Since that conversation, he has missed approximately two months of practice with the Colorado football team, intensifying concerns about his well-being. This week, during a press conference, Coach Prime confirmed he underwent surgery to remove his bladder due to cancer. Deion reflected, “First of all, I apologize for not disclosing everything. We spoke, but I guided you toward some truths. It was challenging. The last time we talked, I thought, ‘Wow, he can’t see it all. I lost about 20 pounds; I’m still down but will regain it.’” He added that his daughter, Shelomi, came to visit but was unaware of the full situation, believing it was related to his foot issue. Throughout the podcast, Deion's voice broke, showing signs of fatigue as he described, “It was hell down there,” referencing his battle with cancer.
