Cousins accrued a second technical foul and was consequently ejected. While heading to the locker room, he continued to argue with another fan amid being pelted with liquids from the stands. The Baloncesto Superior Nacional league imposed a $4,250 fine, with a potential additional penalty of $5,750. The Mets organization firmly denounced any violence, stating that safety and respect are paramount values.
