Denise Whisenhunt Appointed as the New President of Fresno City College

Denise Whisenhunt has been nominated as the future president of Fresno City College in California, pending board of trustees' approval, with her tenure set to commence in July. Serving over 25,000 students, the college has a 5 percent Black student demographic. With more than two decades in academia, Whisenhunt previously directed Grossmont College since 2021 and has held prominent positions in student affairs at San Diego City College and San Diego Mesa College. She holds a political science degree from UC San Diego and a juris doctorate from the Catholic University of America.
