The fourth annual international launch of the Saint Lucian Carnival was held in Miami, coinciding with the city's vibrant Carnival festivities. Beginning on October 4, the Miami Carnival reached its grand finale with a dazzling parade and concert on October 12. Regarded as North America's premier West Indian Carnival, this event draws an enthusiastic gathering of diaspora members, carnival fans, and media personnel. The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) seized this platform to spotlight the Lucian Carnival, notably showcasing the unique musical style known as the Dennery Segment.Prominent tourism figures presented celebrated performers such as Umpa, Mighty, and Blackboy, in addition to DJ Sir Lancealot. Over 100 attendees, including key media partners and travel influencers, engaged in the rich heritage of the Dennery Segment. Saint Lucia’s Consul General, Darrel Montrope, emphasized the cultural fusion stemming from the island's French and English lineage. SLTA CEO Louis Lewis underscored Lucian Carnival's role as an essential marketing asset for the island, while Chris Gustave captured its essence as a profound manifestation of Saint Lucian culture and artistry.
