DESOTO – DeSoto Independent School District will host a student job fair on May 2 at DeSoto High School, located at 600 Eagle Drive in DeSoto. Leading up to that point, district teachers and leaders are working with students on interview prep and skill development, resume development and other nuances associated with job readiness.
The job fair is aimed at pairing students with employment opportunities in three capacities:

The DeSoto High School Career and Technical Education department is seeking employers who are interested in participating in the job fair and potentially hiring students who are seeking employment as summer employees, part-time year-round employment, full-time employment for graduating seniors or paid internships.
DeSoto High School currently offers the programs of study listed below and wants to connect with employers in these respective areas of study. However, many job skills are transferable and the district wants to extend invitations for employment in any area.

Animal Science
Welding (some students are AWS certified)
Audio/Video Technology and Digital Audio Technology (some students are Adobe certified)
