Detroit Digs Deep as Michigan Science Center Brings Tyrannosaurs Exhibit to Life

Detroit is preparing for an exciting prehistoric experience. On October 6, 2024, the Michigan Science Center will open its latest exhibit, Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family. Sponsored by Ford Philanthropy, this exhibit will give visitors a chance to explore the world of the most iconic dinosaurs ever known—tyrannosaurs. The exhibit features skeleton casts, fossils, and life-size displays that will transport guests to the Cretaceous Period. Visitors can expect a full-sized T. rex cast skeleton to greet them, along with interactive elements designed to engage both children and adults. Created by the Australian Museum and brought to Detroit through Evergreen Exhibitions, this collection of prehistoric marvels is an exciting addition to the city’s cultural landscape.
