Detroit is set to launch a distinctive, locally-developed contemporary art platform in collaboration with international partners, designed to foster local talent. Dubbed Detroit Salon, this initiative is spearheaded by Salonnière, with support from the State of Michigan, Visit Detroit, and CultureSource, among others. It will unveil its international presence in Paris in Fall 2025, followed by an artist call in January 2026, culminating in a citywide exhibition in Detroit in 2028. The Detroit Salon Art House, situated in Paradise Valley, will host year-round exhibitions, salons, and artist development programs. This effort aims to revitalize Detroit’s rich artistic heritage, connecting contemporary artists like Tiff Massey and Sheefy McFly to global audiences. Artistic Director Juana Williams emphasizes the initiative’s focus on building relationships that empower artists. Egan, the founder, highlights the commitment to preserving Detroit's authenticity while achieving global recognition. The initiative symbolizes Detroit's artistic future and its deep historical roots, uniting past and present in an evolving creative landscape.
