Everybody founder Tommey Walker Jr. and influential emcee Terrance “TG” Grantham hosted a Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Happy Hour for the Harris-Walz campaign today in Detroit. The event featured a fireside chat with Tony West, Vice President Kamala Harris’ brother-in-law, offering timely insights just before early voting kicks off on October 19. Detroit Vs. Everybody founder Tommey Walker Jr. expressed that when he read through [VP Harris’ Opportunity Agenda for Black Men], something grabbed his attention and that Harris would create situations where Black entrepreneurs could take care of their parents into retirement. “And that really struck a chord with me because, you know, being a Black man in society, you want to take care of your parents… it just really makes me feel good to think that the Vice President cares, you know, about my real-life worries,” Walker Jr. said.
