In an apparent attempt to win over his wife, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. invested $4.34 million in a historic Georgetown townhouse in Washington, D.C. However, it seems this gesture may have been fruitless. The 125-year-old, four-bedroom, 3.5-bath residence, which had an initial listing price of $4.85 million, was acquired by Kennedy in April 2025, as noted by Realtor.com. Despite the property’s allure, Kennedy’s spouse, actress Cheryl Hines, reportedly shows no desire to leave their home in Brentwood, California. The New York Post indicates that Hines is also unimpressed with Kennedy's new position as Health & Human Services Secretary under the Trump administration or the prospect of relocating to Washington. Amid fallout from allegations of an affair with Olivia Nuzzi, a former New York Magazine reporter, Hines has reportedly distanced herself from RFK Jr. Nevertheless, insiders say he is striving to maintain their marriage, with aspirations of becoming Washington’s next power couple.
