The quality of life diminishes with chronic itching, swelling, and unpredictability, particularly when systemic barriers hinder access to proper care. Research indicates underdiagnosis in Black patients due to healthcare biases, which often leads to mislabeling CSU symptoms as unrelated conditions. To combat inflammation—which plays a crucial role in CSU—embracing anti-inflammatory foods like dark leafy greens, fatty fish, berries, and spices, along with stress-reduction techniques such as meditation and deep breathing, may enhance well-being and symptom control.
