A Las Vegas mother is devastated following the tragic drowning of her son, TayShaun Todd, last month. She believes that his death might have been prevented had police taken her emergency calls seriously.Excited to attend his second adult gathering, TayShaun didn’t return home after the event on June 17, prompting his mother to report him missing to the police. After multiple desperate calls, officers checked the residence but did not locate her son that night. The following day, a resident at the house discovered Todd's body in the pool, where he had reportedly been for several hours. Christina Todd-Dunn expressed her anguish, stating, “If the police had arrived as I requested, they could have saved him.” She criticized the police's lack of a thorough search and felt demeaned by their questioning regarding her son’s character. Todd, a student at the College of Southern Nevada, was preparing for a teaching assistant role before his untimely death. A suspect has been charged with misdemeanors related to the illegal party where the incident occurred.
