NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Shorter College has announced the new appointment of the institution’s former provost and vice president as its new interim president.

Jeffery W. Norfleet, II was named on Thursday in a release that said his ability to serve and his commitment to the college will be an asset.
“Dr. Norfleet has demonstrated his commitment to the college’s mission and vision, as well as his desire to meet the challenges that lie ahead,” the released said. “We believe that under his leadership, the future of the college will continue to shine brightly.”
According to the release, Norfleet spent much of his career and education in Tennessee before making his way to Arkansas.
Norfleet previously served in roles that supported post-graduate students, engaged stakeholders, lead strategic planning and more at Trevecca Nazarene University (TNU) in Nashville, Tennessee as the Executive Direction of Institutional Effectiveness, Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies and Director for the Quality Enhancement Plan.
