Saint Lucian recording artists Sherwinn “Dupes” Brice and Keen “The Mecca” Cotter officially kicked off the British leg of their “The Paradise Life” tour on Saturday at the High Commission of Saint Lucia in London, England.
The duo has been collaborating for several years, working together on songs like “Major” and “Zoom Zoom.”
To launch the extensive London leg of their tour, the artistes hosted a networking event for individuals from various segments of the music industry in an intimate setting.
During the event, Dupes and Mecca delivered live performances, creating a space for connection, sharing, and celebrating creative expression influenced by Saint Lucia.
The gathering also featured presentations from other creatives, showcasing their own talents.
Speaking to St. Lucia Times, Dupes emphasised the significance of such events, noting: “In all facets of the music industry, you need to be connected to not just musicians, but painters, visual artists, videographers, photographers, even as far down as carpenters—anybody in the creative field that can help or benefit from what we’re doing with music. We want to connect with those people. It’s always been a challenge when we get here. Who’s going to film for us? Who’s going to edit?”
