Join the Fun at the East Winston 'Good for the Hood' Block Party on August 16!

The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, in collaboration with the Delta Arts Center and YMCA REACH Center, is thrilled to announce the Good for the Hood East Winston Block Party, scheduled for Saturday, August 16, from 1 to 5 p.m. This celebratory event will be hosted along the 11th and 12th Street block of N. Cameron Avenue, at 1141 N. Cameron Ave.This Block Party marks the initiation of the East Winston Cultural Plan, a vision forged through community participation, emphasizing creative placemaking. Through engagement, the plan aims to leverage art, culture, and storytelling to stimulate change, encourage economic mobility, and nurture a sense of belonging. Whitney Harness, executive director of Delta Arts Center, remarked, “The East Winston Block Party embodies cultural preservation and showcases our community's spirit.
