EmailEugene DePasquale survived a field of five to win the Democratic nominee for Attorney General Tuesday night.
State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta won the Auditor General primary.
Kenyatta defeated Mark Pinsley, advancing to take on incumbent Timothy DeFoor in November.
Rep. Kenyatta earned substantially more nominations than Pinsley, including the City Committee in Philadelphia.
Tuesday saw fewer residents in line to cast ballots, as more voters mailed in ballots. The lack of major national races may have dampened turnout. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump ran unopposed atop their respective tickets, while Senator Bob Casey and Republican David McCormick also went unchallenged. Stakes will be much higher in November, as Pennsylvania will likely factor significantly in deciding which party controls the White House and the Senate.
