Exploring Atlanta’s Olympic Heritage and Civil Rights Legacy Through ‘The Games in Black & White’

On April 24, the 49th Annual Atlanta Film Festival presented the premiere of *The Games in Black & White*, a documentary exploring the origins of the 1996 Olympic Games at the Rialto Center for the Arts. Festival director Chris Escobar emphasized the film's historical significance and announced key distribution deals. The documentary airs on Delta Studios starting September 1 and will be broadcast statewide on Georgia Public Broadcasting in July. Narrated by Greg Alan Williams, it showcases the partnership between Billy Payne and Andrew Young, celebrating Atlanta's Civil Rights legacy.
