Spring Plaza, the home of Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC) located at 4907 Spring Ave., has undergone a significant transformation. Executive Director Billy Lane remarks, “This building has served as a vital community asset since its establishment in 2008, replacing formerly vacant properties.”
The plaza has provided services such as workforce training, entrepreneurial development, policy education, and affordable housing opportunities for over 2,500 Fair Park residents. Dominique Pyror-Anderson, Senior Director of TREC Community Investors, emphasized the positive impact of the revitalization, stating, “It’s fresh, safe, and beneficial for the community.”
This renovation, revealed through a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 27, was executed by Young Guns, a TREC initiative for commercial real estate professionals under 35. Significant enhancements include upgraded security, a refreshed exterior, new landscaping, paint, and improved signage. Initiated in 2024, this project marks the first milestone of the Mill City: The Dallas Catalyst endeavor, with plans for affordable townhomes anticipated for completion by 2026.
