Fatal Chopping Victim Had Wedding Plans

The victim of Thursday’s fatal chopping in Vieux Fort had plans to get married within weeks, a close family member revealed. Kervin Louis, of Bacaderre, Vieux-Fort, died at the scene on Bridge Street after allegedly being attacked by a masked man. Louis, who was in his thirties, had sustained a gaping wound to the neck. “He was supposed to get married this month or next month,” a family member told St. Lucia Times. The family member disclosed that the Nigerian woman Louis was planning to marry intended to travel to Saint Lucia on October 10th. “On Facebook they met,” the relative explained. The family member disclosed that the deceased construction worker had an altercation with others on the day he died. “Everybody say that he finish with that already, so he went by the laundry and was giving jokes with two other people and then the guy came, I heard, and then the guy chopped him,” the family member stated.
