A Florida woman’s attempt to protect a chicken crossing the road ended in her arrest. Cynthia Sosa, 38, faces serious charges after a July 9 incident at a Key West intersection escalated into a road-rage altercation. According to police, the situation spiraled after Sosa halted her vehicle to let a chicken cross, blocking the driver behind her. This driver, impatient, honked and subsequently struck the chicken, resulting in its death. Angered by the incident, Sosa followed the other driver. The arrest report reveals that she exited her car, approached the driver’s side, and attempted to open the door. A physical struggle ensued over the car door, during which Sosa pulled out bear spray, directing it at the victim’s face. Afterward, she fled in her Toyota Corolla but was located and arrested later. Sosa now faces two counts of aggravated battery and one count of burglary with assault or battery, with her arraignment set for July 24.
