Discover the Touching Tale of Love in Footlite Musicals' 'The Prom'

Footlite Musicals will present “The Prom,” an inspiring tale focused on youthful love, inclusivity, and confronting societal inequities, this autumn. Set in a traditional Indiana town, the storyline follows four Broadway hopefuls as they rally behind 17-year-old Emma, who faces exclusion from her high school prom alongside her girlfriend. This production is co-directed by Jerry Beasley and Claire Slaven, featuring choreography by Thomas Mason, and will take place from September 19 to October 5 at the iconic Hedback Theatre. Beasley notes, “The Prom epitomizes unity and acceptance, highlighting that everyone should have the opportunity to be their authentic selves.” Originally debuting on Broadway in 2018, the musical garnered six Tony nominations and won Best Musical at the 2019 Drama Desk Awards.
