Catalyzing Central Indiana's Progress with Unwavering Transparency and Dedication

For over a century, AES Indiana has been dedicated to serving Central Indiana, prioritizing the delivery of safe, reliable, and affordable energy solutions. While our fundamental mission has remained consistent, it is vital to adjust our methodologies to cater to the needs of a growing region and an evolving energy landscape. Current conversations increasingly revolve around large-scale facilities like data centers and their considerable energy demands. These projects could complement overarching economic initiatives aimed at enhancing our electrical infrastructure. It's essential to note that data centers are not linked to our current rate review petition submitted to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. We have crafted a plan that ensures future support for data centers won’t adversely influence existing customer rates. Although further investments are required, we can allocate costs over a larger volume of electricity sold. Our recent Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) meeting reinforced this strategy, providing us the means to evaluate future generation resources while upholding our dedication to the community of Central Indiana.
